Help Myshel Live Longer

Myshel is my youngest sister working as a Public Elementary teacher in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao in Mindanao for years. She is young at 35 years old with a 5 yr old boy and a loving husband without a stable job. She has been the breadwinner of the family for years. Her health started to deteriorate 2 years back when her second baby boy died a month after she gave birth. However, she still continued to work for a living as a teacher in one of the most dangerous areas in Maguindanao where bombings and killings are rampant. Almost a month ago, she asked me if they could transfer in my place and find a new job with her family. I said yes of course not knowing that she has been feeling ill at that time,

Just a few days ago, I received a message that she was brought to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing. The first hospital told them to transfer immediately to a more complete hospital near the place. That second hospital told her husband and my eldest sister that she had a cardiac arrest and tests were to be performed. After lab tests were done, results were handed out to my family and they were informed that she needed to have an emergency dialysis and she also had a heart enlargement. Her creatinine at that time was 1500. She was also advised to have a kidney transplant as both of her kidneys are not anymore functioning well. These news were so drastic that we were all not ready and not even aware on what to do. The dialysis sessions were done for 3 consecutive days in the hospital's ICU. Apart from this, she also has difficulty in breathing and oxygen is badly needed for her survival once she gets out of the hospital.

She could not anymore continue to teach and earn money for her family because of this chronic disease. My whole family is appealing for help to anyone who has a humble heart. I will be helping them transfer from Mindanao to my place here in Pampanga to be able to have a better access with hospital and transportation. Dialysis as we all know is for life because of this disease unless kidney transplant is performed. As of the moment we are not yet thinking of the transplant as we know it is a very arduous and expensive process.

We are asking for any help and prayer for her to surpass this ordeal and be able to live longer and be with her family. Please help me help Myshel live longer. Thank you very much
