Campaign Story
My mom, Avellana, was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer stage IIB last April 2017. She underwent 6 cycles of chemotheraphy, 39 days of radiation theraphy and 4 cycles of brachytheraphy. She has successfully completed these procedures and was declared “cancer-free” on May 2018. She has already started to live her normal life since then.
On December 2018, she experienced severe coughing and difficulty in walking and it prompted her to visit her oncologist. After series of laboratory test, abdominal CT-scan and whole body bone scan, it was found out that the cancer has recur to her lungs, liver and bones. She already started with another regimen of chemotheraphy on January 2019 and everything seems to be going okay. However, during a confinement for her third chemo, she complained that she has some discomfort seeing with her left eye. She was endorsed to a neurologist and after brain MRI, the results revealed that the tumor has also spread in her brain. She immediately underwent 10 sessions of brain radiation theraphy to prevent the tumor from spreading. She has already completed five cycles of chemo from January to May 2019 but the tumors are still progressing faster than expected, hence the need to shift to start another chemotheraphy protocol.
My mom is currently confined in UERM Memorial Hospital and has been there for two weeks already as her blood counts especially her platelets are still very low. Because of this, there is always a need for costly platelet apheresis and injection of hematopoietic growth factor. She is set to start again with another chemotheraphy protocol once all her laboratory results are okay.
My Mom has been courageously battling for cancer for more than two years and the cost of all the treatments is really expensive. We have already exhausted all our savings and her health card limit has already been maxed out too. We are humbly asking for any amount that you could give to help fund her medications. We would also like to request for your prayers which will surely help her in winning this tough battle.

Praying for strength for your, your mom, and your family. Hoping for financial recovery and moreso, ni tita Avellana. If she isn't healed, even with our fervent prayers, one way or another, we will all get called back to our home with God. And Jesus already defeated death. We rest on that fact. We will live without pain giving glory and honor only to the one who made us perfect. 🙏

I know this isn't much but I just had to help no matter how little. My kids and I are victims of cancer, so to speak, when we lost their Dad Jenny Jr. last year. Along with our donation are our prayers for your mom. Keep the faith because it is only Him who knows our fate.
