We are knocking on your good hearts to ask for financial support for our mother, Josefina Dionisio Henson, 65 years old, and a known case of Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus. We are a family of 7, with our father also having comorbidities such as Diabetes and Hypertension. I am the eldest, and was also diagnosed with Moya-moya disease and Diabetes. 3 of us already have our own families, and although we all have work, our salaries are only sufficient for our daily expenses and to support our other needs (maintenance medications, tuition fees, etc.).
Our mother, Josefina, is currently admitted in the ICU of Victor R. Potenciano hospital. On April 2nd, we brought her to the ER because she was poorly responsive. The doctors told us that when she arrived, her blood oxygen level was critical at 50% leading to her immediate intubation. Initial tests revealed that she has severe pneumonia due to COVID-19. She isn’t out of the woods yet, as per her doctor’s latest update, her markers (LDH and PRP) and blood sugar are still elevated.
Our running bill as of April 4 is P393,873.37, and although she has an HMO, her bill has exceeded her maximum benefit limit of P175,000. Professional fees still not included.
We are reaching out for any assistance you can give us with and we are grateful for any amount you can provide.
We know that this is far from over, and once she overcomes this illness, we still have to support her full recovery at home.
