Help me start my first dosa truck

OUR VISION OF MAKING DOSA A GLOBAL FOOD STYLE

My name is Sobhita Indrakanti and I'm currently a student pursuing MBA in Cuttack, India. I'm a passionate chef and more specifically a Dosa lover. Dosa is considered as the staple breakfast of South India, it is so dominant there that over the years it has manifested in several forms, shapes and flavors and has set foot on several parts of the world. Yet, dosa doesn't seem receive the reputation it deserves. So, me and two of my fellow dosa lovers have decided to step forth and bring dosas the prestige it deserves.

Our inspiration got channelized by observing the global boom in food truck business and we firmly believe that dosa trucks is the key to delivering dosas and reaching out to everyone in one shot. We have being researching for years on dosas and different variants of it, also on different methods of cooking and the drawbacks of currently existing dosa vendors that prevents our dosa its deserving value. We will expand our dosa truck chain globally...

HOW DO WE PLAN TO DO IT?

As MBA students we have been doing rigorous study on the various aspects of managing a food truck business and come up with strategic ways to incorporate innovation as well as deal with hurdles. First of all to start a food truck business, we need a truck and modify it for cooking and delivering purpose. This would also include the licencing and other legal aspects that has to be covered before getting on road.

Secondly, we plan to employ. Although I would love to cook, as young entrepreneurs, we have decided to employ 2 cooks and a service personnel who would be handing the truck. This, of course will expand as we build our company and bring in more trucks in future.

Finally, the dosa and the recipes themselves. We have been working on dosa recipes for about 4 years now and has come up some of the finest and most exquisite recipes that would ring bells in our customers heads whenever their tummy grumbles. We even are looking for getting some of our recipes patented, just to be sure. And, not to worry, hygiene is our top priority and we will innovate the ways in which dosa is made.

Currently, we are putting in maximum resources in research and participating in competitions to publicize our idea and gain knowledge. We even won the best idea on service sector award from during the women's entrepreneurs event conducted by ASBM, supported by MSME, Govt of India on the occasion of women's day.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Well, our primary objective is to get the truck ready. From what we estimated we would require 6.5 lakhs to get our first truck on street. Finance being our first hurdle needs to be dealt with gracefully. We are thus opening this campaign to get crowd funding and get a kick start to our brilliant idea.
