Our mom is currently battling Cancer, please help her become a Survivor.

Our mother (Almar “Bing” Del Castillo Caluag) isn’t just a mother to us 5— she is everybody’s mom. She’s a loving mother to our friends, relatives and a mother to her students. She is everyone’s “Mama Bing”, our life line, and we are all proud to be called her “anak”.

Recently, our Mama Bing was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She was scheduled for whipple surgery but the said operation wasn’t pushed through. Instead, it turned out as an Exploration Laparotomy— Cholecystectomy & Excision Biopsy of Liver Nodule (Segment IVB) due to the large scope of her Pancreatic CA affecting her liver. We were advised to seek help from an oncologist for immediate treatment.

She will undergo a PET scan and chemotherapy in the coming weeks/ months.

They say that when you look at your mother, you are looking at the purest form of love.

And yes, we are. She still looks after us; and as we look at her, despite battling with her disease, she looks back at us with a strong and happy heart, a positive mind, with the purest love anyone could give— unconditional and with no judgement. No cancer cells, pain and discomfort would ever stop a mother’s love for her children. We wish to see and feel more of it in the coming years.

We would like to ask for your prayers, specifically for her to have the strength throughout the procedures and for her to beat this disease. We believe that with our prayers combined, it will create immense healing powers for our mama. We would also like to ask for financial help as the treatment is going to cost a large amount of money. Any amount will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in terms of giving our mom the treatment she needs.
