Help Mouad Beat Leukemia – Community Support

Dear Kind Hearts,

Mouad Ajiba is a 17 year old high school student who has just been daignosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia.

In his best years of life, Mouad had to bear the most devastating news that no one has ever expected to hear. Instead of finishing up his high school and start chasing his dreams, Leukemia gets in the way to steal him from his parents, friends, neighborhood, and his football team.
These news have been greatly shocking for his parents and siblings, coming from a rural village in the South of Morocco, they can barely afford daily life expenses, putting all their efforts into sending kids to school and to pay for rent.

Mouad is in his first stages of cancer, and doctor says he's got big chances of surviving. Today, at the Private Hospital of Marrakech, he is starting his first round of treatment, wich involves receiving regular medications for 40 days while being confined to the hospital. With the support of the village and his friends, he was able to receive blood donations to kick off his first days at the hospital. However, the cost of medication needed and the 2 year contunious treatment is above the village's energy.

He is taking Vesanoid, each pack costs 400 USD, and he needs to packs per month. The doctor expects the costs of medications to exceed 21000 USD, in addition to hospital bills and the commute of his family between Belfaa village and Marrakech, we estimate a total of 45,000 USD for the next few months of treatment.

Mouad is an energetic teenager who loves life, sports, and his football/soccer team. He wants to go back to school and to his parents and only your altruism can unshackle him from this cancer nightmare.

We all have high hopes for Mouad's recovery; his strenghth along with love and support everyone around him is demonstrating, he will definitely beat Leukemia and get back to his youth and dreams.
