HELP MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN ACCESS EDUCATION.

I am Henry the CEO of Henmaq Foundation a grassroot foundation aiming at helping:

1. Most vulnerable children

2. Most vulnerable woman

3. Youth and vulnerable girls

1.Most vulnerable children

Henmaq foundation is a grassroot organisation aiming at helping the most vulnerable children in Tanzanian in northern city of Arusha, so far we have more than 50 children we are helping so that they can access quality education through our small education facility in Nkoaranga meru dictrict in Arusha region. Most of these children lost their parents due to HIV/ AIDS and others come from the poorest families where their households can't afford even the basic needs while others are totally street children .

Some of these children are living with HIV but we are trying to help them access medical care and providing them with mosquito nets to keep them from getting malaria. So we requesting if you can extend to me any kind of support so that we can help this future generation.

Actually we have been trying to look for people who can sponsor these children's education.

2. Most vulnerable woman

My organisation does not stop on children but it goes also to the extent of helping the vulnerable woman in Meru district through sensitization programs. Most of the women involved are widows and some are HIV infected and others are living in absolute poverty.

So i came up with a program of teaching these woman how to make artisan crafts so that they can earn a living through selling these products. However the biggest challenge here has been the market unavailability and the small market base. Actually these women are making the most handcraft product of high quality in Arusha and of variety. So here my biggest concern has been the market. If you can help us find a market for these products i will really appreciate.

3. Youth and vulnerable girls

Here we are trying to devise strategies to help school dropouts especially girls. Most of these people have no skills in doing anything , so find it hard to attain at least a normal kind of living. This make them involve themselves in bad acts like prostitution, selling of drugs and so on which might put their lives in jeopardy. Additionally some might get unwanted pregnancies and this has increased the mortality rate thus forcing people to remain in absolute poverty.

Henmaq came up with a program of helping these people through acquitting them with practical skills ( vocational training) . we teach them secretarial studies , tailoring and design , cookery & hotel management, hair dressing & weaving and we are in processes of introducing information technology but we still lack enough computers and other tools.

Our project fosters community self-reliance , supports people living with HIV and also halt and combat the spread of HIV through introducing self help and self reliance projects which prevents people from engaging in activities which might make them vulnerable to contract HIV, still we carryout sensitization programs on HIV and poverty eradication.

Additionally we carry out environmental conservation projects, sports, music and drama especially for kids from street to make them comfortable. Also we help in the control of maternal mortality through our programs.

So i have been requesting you in anyway possible to extend to us any kind of support.

Thanks.
