It's been more than a year since my family started our fight against lung cancer. Once again, we are humbly knocking on your generous hearts to please help us in prayers and raise funds for my lola's continuous medication. Each and everyone in the family is exerting efforts to find resources to support my lola's medical needs. We already sought the help of different government offices and charities for financial assistance, but given the huge amount that we need every month, it is still difficult for us to find enough money. A single cent matters the most and it can save and change one's life. Truly thankful and may God bless your hearts.

We are beyond blessed for all the donations we received ever since we started our lola's gogetfunding page. With the grace of the Lord, the medicine (Tagrisso) is working well on my lola. However, as of the moment, our family do not have the full financial capability to shoulder all of her medical expenses. Government agencies have no budget and its been hard for our family for the past months to get some financial help. But because we love her and we still want to have her with us for more years. We will take a chance again on people who might be willing to help us finance our lola's medical needs. Through the years, we have witnessed our lola fight through and win over the toughest battles in her life. We appreciate the generosity that you will extend to our lola and our family.

We are knocking on your generous hearts as Mommy Bella’s loved ones are raising funds for her medication (oral chemotherapy) in the succeeding months/years.

Last March of 2021, my grandmother (who has never smoked in her life) was diagnosed with Non- Small Cell Lung Adenocarcinoma, Stage 3 (Lung Cancer). October of the same year, the cancer has already spread and reaches Stage IVA. She was prescribed with an oral targeted therapy drug which is “Osimertinib” (TAGRISSO), 80MG/tab 1 tablet daily until disease progression. This medicine is manufactured by Astrazeneca. It is available here in the Philippines, but it will cost us a lot of money. Each pill costs Php3,694.20 which would amount to Php110,826 monthly. This drug is quite promising, as approximately 69% of patients treated with Tagrisso were alive with no progression of cancer. Monthly check-up and CT-scan every 2months are also included in her treatment plan. She started taking Tagrisso November of 2021. The journey has its ups and downs. All through out, the side effects are always there, plus the fact we struggle financially every month. The only thing that keeps us going is knowing GOD is with us in this battle.

Despite the non-assurance of the Doctor about the success of her treatment, she continues to be optimistic and is willing to fight this battle. My Grandmother doesn’t smoke and doesn’t have vices. We are thinking maybe she got this kind of sickness while selling newspapers and plastic containers in her small store near Tondo Church in Manila, where she was exposed to pollution.

Before the pandemic strikes, aside from the help she receives from us, my grandmother used to sell newspapers not just to sustain her needs, but also to help others in need. That's how big my grandma's heart is. But when the pandemic started, since she’s already on her senior age, she cannot go outside to earn a living. We on the other hand have little income and got affected by pandemic as well. We found government agencies that give medical assistance, but is still not enough to cover the cost of her treatment.

Thus, I made this campaign to fund my grandmother’s continues treatment and medication because our family does not have enough resources. She is an inspiration to us, and we love her very much.

We understand that everyone is having a hard time as well due to pandemic, but we also believe that there are people who are ready to help even during these difficult times. We don't have the full financial capability to shoulder all of her medical expenses, but we are willing to do everything for her. We will not let her go without a fight, as we still want to have her with us for more years. So, I'm knocking on your hearts to help us, by sending donations for the treatment and medication of my beloved grandmother to extend her life. Donations will be very much appreciated.
