Campaign Story
Greetings dear friends from all over the world.. This is Mahmoud writing, with a big warm heart to all. Lamees and Sophia are my dear friends who started the fundraiser and have been my great friends for many years. I hope this little story finds you well, and let me please be short with you. if you lost members of your family, and suffering the pain of losing someone you love, specially babies and kids, or living a war of hunger and killing, or your own house and business were bombed; what else do you have left to stay for? It’s been a daily unbearable nightmare. We have lost everything we worked for. We are a big family of 2 parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 5 nephews, and 5 nieces. With your support, this is our chance to escape the terrifying horror we are living in Gaza. No matter how much you donate, it will make a big difference for us. With your help, we can cover the costs and expenses of leaving and getting my family through Rafah borders to Egypt. I am too thankful for everyone seeking to help.
To get out of Gaza to Egypt costs 10s of thousands of dollars, as I'm sure that you have already heard from others in and out of Gaza, as well as the news. We are hoping we can accomplish this, as it is impossible to live safely in Gaza.
In the meantime, any other donations for surviving in Gaza are also appreciated while we are still stuck here. Since the siege, we have lost everything. We are displaced in our own land. Day to day living is hard, as the aid blockade makes getting food and essentials difficult as well. Aid is being sold at high prices for months. Food, medicines, diapers and everything. So your donations can also help us live while we are in Gaza.
Any amount of donation is appreciated. Even small amounts can add up to help in a big way.

We have been displaced again- left Rafah because of siege- back to our destroyed house

We left Rafah because it is too dangerous there now! You cannot stay 30 minutes there without the army shooting rockets and missiles- it is unbelievable. Rafah is the most dangerous place now. So I went back to our destroyed house in Khan Younis. There is nobody here, no life,. . . . .
My sisters family tent was bombed yesterday!

My family is currently scattered in different places in Gaza. Today I received the news that one of my sisters, who had a tent in Mawasi-KhanYounis, was bombed yesterday! This is in a supposed 'safe zone', but nowhere is safe here in Gaza. She went out in the morning to. . . . .

This photo is from 2015, when Mahmoud and his family had a home and a life in Khan Younis. All of it has been destroyed, and beauty replaced with death and rubble. 😭💔Please help him and them at least get out with their lives since the bombings and starvation does. . . . .

Thanks to your donations and support, we raised the Eid wish money to get Mahmoud out to Egypt- $5k!! Thank you all so much!!! 🥹❤️🙏 Between PayPal fees and living expenses we are technically $930 short at the moment- plus he needs money to live etc but getting to $5k. . . . .

Hi friends, we are now $2800 away from getting Mahmoud out of Gaza. As we wrote in a previous update, his family has the papers to leave to Egypt, but not the money. It is their wish to get Mahmoud out first. Thanks to your donations, we are now closer

Thanks to your donations yesterday, Mahmoud's family got some date cookies (Called Maamool) for before Eid. Thank you all so much 🥹❤️🙏Also the campaign went from 2% funded to 7% funded. 🥹We pray that we can at least get Mahmoud out of Gaza first and soon. 🙏
Iftar update & phone problems

Mahmoud & his family are now having problems eating properly. This was last night's Iftar meal of smashed lentils and some bread. Also, he cannot find a proper place to charge his phone like he used to before.
