Help me get 100 solar lights to Gambia!

Dear friends,

Instead of giving you hard facts directly, I'd like to first tell you the little story that brought me here.
I'd like talk to you about an inspiring human, who I met during my time in Morocco. I’d like to tell you about his vision, a beautiful project and the element of giving. I’d like to tell you about the Voyage of Light.

Three days after I started my time in Morocco, I met Kiran Kreer. We travelled and spent the days together and our time taught me a lot, raising many questions, that are still with me. We explored Morocco, we made many connections with other travellers and shared thoughts and – we became friends.

Kiran is travelling for almost 7 years now. In these years he has been living as a citizen of the world, exploring parts of Asia while living amongst tribes, learning rituals and cultures and documenting his journey with photographs and stories.
Wherever he found communities in need, he opened up a project and raised all the funds that were needed to provide whatever is necessary. He is giving out solar lights and bringing together travellers and locals to built shelters, to find self sustaining solutions and have workshops together – always minding the element of spirituality and connection, creating a social and cultural exchange which enriches everyone participating.
This also means to explore countries to understand it’s culture and problems – telling their stories to raise awareness amongst others and giving some support to the people that are effected by these.

When entering Mama Africa, starting with Morocco, Kiran decided to open the doors of the project for others to join his journey. The »Voyage of Light« was born – and I became part of it, too. With open eyes and a heavy heart I left Morocco and dived back into Europe. I now feel that it's high time to become active and put some good energy into this project. And I'd like to ask all of you to give me a little help.

While I am here in Germany, Kiran just left Morocco and is now on his way to the regions of West Africa. He is crossing the West Sahara and Mauritania by land, heading to Gambia.
This is where there are communities and families, that still live with no electricity. This is where new projects will be happening, solar lights will be given out and volunteers will be able to participate on ground. This is, where you can support us and become part of the Voyage.

And now finally the hard facts:
We need as many solar lights and as much support as possible! The solar lights bring clean sustainable energy to homes, enable children to study, help women on long walks and allow families to no longer live in the dark or with harmful kerosene fuels.
To get one solar light to a family, we have costs of 15$. I would like to raise enough money to get at least 100 solar lights to Kiran and the people in Gambia this month. Please support me with this and share the light you have with others. Help me to send 100 solar lights to the people who need them!
