Help me start my life

Hello, my name is Heather and I would like to start by telling you a little about myself. I am 20 years old and am currently studying to be a nurse, volunteer at the Austin hospital in my spare time and work nights as a waitress. I was born in the UK but a few years ago my family and I moved to Australia to find a better life (which we did!).

Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, I am struggling to begin my adult life in the way that I envisioned and fear I am putting a financial burden on my family by staying at home. Since we have moved to Australia, unfortunately two of my grandparents fell ill and we had to fly back to the UK to say goodbye, before they both passed away, on seperate occasions. Furthermore, I had to help fund both funerals while also paying for my university fees upfront, as I am not eligible for any government assistance, due to not being a citizen of Australia.

These unfortunate events have left me (and my family) in financial difficulty, causing us to move further into the country for cheaper housing options. This only increases my commute to university and work, making it even harder to save to afford my own car and move out of home, so that my parents do not have any additional expense, regarding caring for me and my sister.

This is why I am seeking help, because after several years of spending money to help other people, in my family, I am at a loss and am unsure how to move out of home and begin my life independently. I assure you that any donation made to me will be met with the upmost gratitude and will be passed on to another needy individual, who is looking for help. I understand there are people who are in greater need than I am, but sometimes we all need a little help to get back on our feet.
