€730.00Donated So Far
I live in St Julians, Malta, an area that is going through major development with many construction sites that are taking over green patches of land. In fact, there is almost none left, so all the stray cats have now difficulty in finding a safe refuge. The government is not doing anything to help and the only way these poor strays can survive is by volunteers and cat lovers taking on the responsibility of feeding small cat communities here and there. Besides feeding them, we also neuter and spay, cover all vet bills from our own pockets and try and re-home them. As one can imagine, it really is not easy to keep up with the bills. One cat can cost you over euro 400 just for simple tests such as thyroid, FIV and standard vaccinations. I have never asked for help before because I try and pay what I can from my own wage, however, the more help I get, the more strays I can help. I appreciate any amounts given, however, it costs over 1800 euros a year just for food. With this amount, I can feed 7 strays daily, so as you can see, it is very costly to keep up the work without help. I really am thankful for any funds received and will surely give any information to anyone that requires it. God bless x

Joom was found by mum in a very bad condition. She was taken to the vet as her eyes had a very bad infection, intact, she almost lost her sight. We managed to save her eyes but she still doesn't see very well. Nevertheless, Joom is a very happy, loving. . . . .
