Help me publish my first book!

Dear friends

Thank you for reading my post. I'm reaching out for your support in publishing my illustrated narrative poetry. It's inspired by the works of Edward Gorey, Edgar Allan Poe, and Tim Burton. They have made an impact not just in my work but also in my life as a person. You may find my work dark and heart gripping and it may make you laugh (in a good way) once in a while. I currently have 50 stanzas finalized and I'm improving the rest. If you have seen Edward Gorey's work then you know the style of illustration we will have for each stanza. I dream of making every page, every stanza, and every illustration a piece of art and for that I will need your support.

The funding you donate will be added to my expenses for:

1. Paying the artists for the illustrations

2. Paying the proofreader

3. Materials and tools

4. Expenses for publishing hard copy

Before anything else, I would like to point out the reason why the fundraising currency is in dollars. It's because I'll be hiring artists from the US. I have searched for local talent who can deliver the style of illustration I want for my work to no avail. I believe it's because most of our local artists aren't exposed to his (Edward Gorey) work so it's very hard to find artists who can help me make this happen.

Let me share a few stanzas of my work. I also indicated the number to show the sequence.

42. Peter the archer is all drunk in ale

Conrad the first, just dropped out of jail

Harold the knight had, had his 10th booze

And under the table was Fletcher in snooze

7. For the vision of the guillotine

On the stage was

Poor Queen Mary's

Tragic fate

15. Who, at the pitch black

Theater back await

For a lady victim

They strike with a mace

26. Then the hallway was lit

By a flickering light

Queen Mary went cold

And ran the other side

31. Now go, and I'll take comfort

From the warmth of my bed

For if they find out

I will lose my head
