Every day Ukrainian children are waiting outside refugee centres to be processed in freezing conditions. Temperatures can get as low as -10 C.

Last week I drove past the Tallinn Refugee centre. It was terrible. I need to help.

My name is Jasmine, I'm an 18 year old Kiwi (New Zealander), spending a few months with family in Estonia before going to university in the UK.

I’ve seen images of Ukrainian war refugees on social media, but until you drive past a bus load of women and children, holding shopping bags full of clothes, you really don’t get it.

I decided then and there I had to help. First hand, but I also really need your help to do it!

These children can wait for hours in a parking lot, in sub-zero temperatures to be processed. Often after spending days crammed in a bus to get here.

I want to make their arrival in Tallinn a celebration, not a sorrow.

I’m starting a non-profit foundation here to raise money to provide toys and activities while they wait.

I'm hoping to get started with a bouncy castle, maybe a clown, some balloons and some refreshments. I’m not an international aid agency. I’m a Kiwi kid trying to make a small difference to a big problem.

Unlike those massive organisations, what I‘m doing here is very personal. There are no salaries to pay, and no admin to support. It’s me on the ground- face to face.

Any help you can give, any donation, will go directly into setting up the foundation to support the women and children that need it most.

They desperately need basic supplies, like daily shampoo deliveries, nappies, feminine hygiene products, underwear, socks, bunk beds and bedding for temporary accommodation etc.. the list is long, so any surplus funds can find many uses!

Estonia has been kind enough to welcome them in, but with up to 2000 refugees, predominantly women and children, arriving daily, every contribution makes a massive difference.

Tallinn (Estonia's capital) is a very small city. The population of Estonia is barely over 1 million and we are expecting over 100,000 refugees in a matter of weeks. There are over 25,000 refugees here already.

What I've discovered is that the Ukrainians that had money, or that could leave easily, left early on. Now that the war has escalated, those arriving are truly desperate. They’ve lost everything, in many cases with no hope of going back to the world they knew.

Let’s try to give them a little of that back, by putting a smile on the exhausted faces of these children when they get here!

Thanks for your support!
