Campaign Story
๐น I humbly request your assistance in paying for my medicine. I'm living with fibromyalgia, a painful condition that was diagnosed back in 2012. I've had to manage with a cocktail of meds, including pregabalin, which is still very expensive in Kenya.
๐ธ Fibromyalgia is a chronic illness that is characterized by widespread muscular and nerve pain. This condition is a daily fight, as it can take your life away one day at a time, and without treatment, it's debilitating and very painful to endure.
๐ธI was let go by my employer after they couldn't accommodate my needs, so I have freelanced for a while. This has been workable in the past, but recent times have really changed the freelancer markets.
๐น I also have started a personal outreach program for people living with chronic illnesses, and those who are dealing with trauma, dedicating my social media presence and writing skills to putting out content that other Kenyans relate to and use.
๐น My content is based on my health journey, and what has worked for me. I also spread the word on psychotherapy availability in Kenya, while also creating content that educates my audience about healthy psychology, and other related topics.
๐น The project is still growing, however you can check it out here ยป Dark Serenity In4
๐น While my issue is chronic, the small $300 donation will go a long way in catering towards purchasing medicine for some number of months, as my business regains momentum and grows.
๐ธ Your support is more than appreciated ๐!!
๐ธ๐ธ you can check out my Instagram page ยป here, and it'd be a pleasure to connect.
