After 19 long years being confined to the mere states of Washington, Oregon, and California, I, Savannah Wilson, have decided to spread my wings and fly. And I don't just mean taking a trip down to Florida or New York for a week, either. I'm travelling across the world! 7,395 miles to be exact. Yep, that's right, I'm heading to Thailand for a whole month! I will be living in Thailand from August 7th until August 29th with a lovely group of people with Edventure International! I will be spending my first week getting to know my fellow Edventure members while also travelling to rural villages throughout Thailand to help build schools, teach English, and generally help communities in any way I can. The second/third week of my trip I will be living on an elephant sanctuary where I will get up close and personal with many endangered Asian elephant, bathing them, feeding them, walking them, and learning about the conservation efforts of these gentle giants. My last week in Thailand I will spend playing tourist throughout the country, visiting night markets, temples, waterfalls, and glorious beaches. The will go on more adventures during these 3 weeks than some people do in their whole lives! And did I mention I've never even been on a plane before? As you can tell this is a huge opportunity for me to get out of my comfort zone and go explore the world, while also helping others in the process!

Now I bet you're probably thinking "well that's great, but what does this have to do with me?". Well here's where you come in! As a broke college student working 2 jobs to pay off my student loans and bills, a trip this big just isn't in my budget, as you can imagine. In my last campaigns I was raising money for the trip itself, which was $3800, not including flights. As of July 2nd, I have finally reached my goal of $3800! Exciting, isn't it? Now I am asking you, my family, my friends, and anyone kind enough to read my page, for your help just one more time! Even though I have paid off the cost of the trip and my passport, I am still paying off my plane tickets and travelers insurance. As of July 3rd, I have paid $500 towards my $1032 round-trip ticket to Thailand (the flight is 22 hours long each way, isn't that insane?! Go big or go home, right?) Travelers insurance is approximately another $250 dollars, which covers me if anything were to happen to my luggage or if I would get hurt (obviously a necessity, yeah?). All-in-all, I still owe about $750 + spending money for Thailand. While I could probably make this sum up by myself with both of my jobs, I unfortunately have to pay rent so I have a place to stay in Seattle while I go to school at the University of Washington (Seattle is outrageously expensive). Please help me make the trip of a lifetime and donate to my cause! I will thank you with a genuine artifact from Thailand and thank you package!
