HELP ME HEAL MY HEART

Hi, my name is Karyn Hazel Avila from Lucban, Quezon. I'm 33 years old and a mother of a 2 year old daughter.

I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure Secondary to Anterior Mitral Valve Prolapse with Severe Mitral Valve Regurgitation which require open -heart surgery as soon as possible. My mitral valve has a "leak" and doesn't close properly, allowing blood to flow backward into the chamber leaving less blood for the heart to pump normally.

My doctor recommended an open heart surgery to replace the mitral valve and repair the other damages in my heart. Its already severe so it has to be done as soon as possible. The cost of this surgery is Php 956,908.00

Despite my joyful outlook and strong aura, only few people knows what I've been going through. Everyday that passed is really a challenge for me because of my illness.

I've been through a lot of pain; physically, mentally and emotionally. And I'm going to fight this battle because I have so many reasons to live and not to give up. I have my daughter and my husband to live for, my family to share my blessings, my friends who also needs my comfort and love so I have to survive. I want to live.
