Help me have my Second Life

Before all else I would like to thank you all for spending some time in visiting this gift giving campaign that I created. May the blessings and abundance from the almighty be with you and your love ones.

I would like to share my story behind the creation of this campaign and may it inspire you to help more people who had go through the same journey as mine.

My mom passed away due to a stage 4 thyroid cancer and such experience leave us with fear in hearts.

Before my mom passed away I had already notice a lump in my neck, but I hadn't paid much attention for it does not bother me.

But with my mom passing, my brothers and sisters urge me have my neck examined by an endocrinologist. Series of blood test and ultrasound was made to check what is on my neck.

The ultrasound shown there were four tumors that grows in my thyroid. The biggest of them about 2.5 cm was subjected to biopsy and the rest for growth monitoring.

The biopsy turned out to be benign and I thank the lord for it.

I have undergone medication and one of the nodules or tumor just suddenly vanished.

With such progress I had somehow grow my hope that it can be solved with medication since I fear the surgery. Then then the horrible pandemic hits the entire planet.

All transportation were impossible by then, series of lockdown is implemented and too strict travel requirement were ask of every individual who seeks to travel.

So I just continue with my prescribe dose of thyroid medication without mw knowing that I had already consume beyond what I am supposed to take, I have known this when during the height of pandemic I decided to travel with all the strictness imposed...this time I really worried for my health because I didn't have any follow up for almost 2 years.

I lost too much weight, I lost about 5 kg from 165 lbs. to 154 lbs. My endocrinologist suggested to stop the medication since the tumors have not grown in size nor grow in number.

until the pandemic subsided and I was able to monitor the tumors regularly within a span of every 4 to 6 months. My second to the latest thyroid ultrasound was August 2022 and the results are still of the same size and feature.

My next ultrasound and blood works was done on December 6, 2022. But this time, something frightening happened, the result of the ultrasound returned a hightened alarm in the normal Tyrads level or the level of safe size and feature the tumors are supposed to be.

From Tyrads 2-3 now it became Tyrads 5-7 which is in scoring of malignancy Tyrads 5 is the highest. The tumors had a growth of 20 percent from the last ultrasound. The previous 2.5 cm became 3.2 cm in size and change in features was also deplayed. One of the small tumors had calcification inside it.

Having this result my endocrinologist urge me to undergo surgery considering the high score of malignancy and I have confirmed the procedure to be done.

On December 14, 2022 about nine days before Christmas I had my surgery, the tumors were subjected to frozen biopsy.

Frozen Biopsy is a procedure wherein the surgery will pause for few hour and wait for the result of the Biopsy.

The results of the pathology report turned out that all the three tumors became cancerous and its already in its Stage 1, they called it Papillary Carcinoma Stage 1, with that as a result, I need to have a total thyroidectomy to keep me safe.

My endocrinologist told that the cancer had been remove and that I have to undergo management and therapy as well as monitoring to make sure that everything is in its proper place.

We have spent an ample amount of financial resources that reach over a hundred thousand pesos during my surgery and we really are financially challenged during this times..

As of now I need to raise some money with your help for me to ba able to afford the RAI therapy and other procedure, I'm looking into raising the amount of P60,000.00 to cover my post surgery therapy.

And I have to undergo the therapy on January 30, 2023 at the most to have the therapy more effective.
