Campaign Story
** IMAGINE finding yourself without electric power for more than 40 days and at the same time lost your only source of income?**
As you already know Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico on September 20th, 2017 and left everybody in the Island with severe problems and suffering. The vast majority of the Island is still without electricity right now in November 2017, and there are many communities without running water. Some people are even going to bed hungry because of the lack of resources and money.
Food, healthcare, and the need for things like batteries and gas are serious and real issues most of us in Puerto Rico are facing now. Life here is very stressful on a day to day basis. Many people have lost their jobs, business and their sources of income. This is a major disaster zone and just as many Virgin Island residents flew to the US after the Irma devastation many of us need to do it too in order to keep on with our lives.
I am an online student and my only job was a little online selling until the hurricane hit. I'm currently living with family members but I need to move out of there since I don't want to keep on being a burden to them and resources are limited. I desperately need your help to buy a plane ticket to leave the Island as soon as possible, since I'm facing health issues and serious financial trouble that can't be solved in Puerto Rico right now. I have been offered short-term housing in Florida state until I find a job there since I cannot find a job or keep studying without electricity in Puerto Rico. The only thing I need right now is money to leave the Island as I'm sure anyone would like to do if they were in this situation. I hope to leave to Florida as soon as possible to work and try to get back to my online classes. And when I'm able to I'd like to try and help others who are still suffering in the Island of Puerto Rico.
Please HELP and donate!
Anything helps.
Thank You and Many Blessings.
