Help me fund my education in UWC Dilijan!

Hi.

My name is Alexandra Soboleva and I'm currently studying in the 10th grade of high school in Moscow. I am interested in natural and social sciences and my dream is to work in the field of education and educational reforms because education is the determining factor in the development of individuals thereby contributing to shaping a better society.

This whole year I've been putting all my energy and effort into applying to UWC, my dream school which stands for making education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future, and I recently got accepted to UWC Dilijan.

I was so happy and so overwhelmed with the number of opportunities it gave me, I contacted my second-years and future co-years and already started making plans for my time at UWC and after it, but the excitement only lasted until yesterday evening - April 9th, we got letters with the results of the financial assessment, and since then I've fallen into despair. The school and the national committee say that the information regarding the amount of scholarship is strictly confidential and can only be provided upon request, therefore I will only say that the remaining amount of the tuition that I have to pay by myself is too much for me and my family, the only way for us to pay for my education would be selling our only apartment, which is quite undesirable.

I'm running this campaign because getting to UWC was one of my biggest dreams and goals for a long time, and missing the opportunity to go to this amazing place which stands for equal opportunities for everyone and affordable education due to lack of money would be really disappointing, and your help would mean the world to me!

Я ученица старшей школы, в данный момент живу в Москве и обучаюсь в Лицее НИУ ВШЭ. Я интересуюсь естественными и социальными науками, и в будущем мечтаю работать в сфере образования, ведь именно оно является определяющим фактором в формировании личности, тем самым делая вклад в развитие всего общества. Весь этот год я посвятила всю себя поступлению в United World Colleges, обучение в данной организации - это одна из самых моих больших мечт, опыт, который я получила бы от этого, уникален и ни с чем не сравним, как и возможности, которые обучение там открыло бы для меня. Но, к сожалению, я получила только частичную финансовую поддержку (информация о помощи, предоставленной самим колледжем, строго конфиденциальна, но если вы заинтересованны мне помочь, я могу запросить у них разрешение на то чтобы показать документы), и оставшаяся сумма всё ещё слишком велика для моей семьи, а упустить такой шанс было бы для меня трагедией, поэтому сейчас я пытаюсь найти стороннее финансирование, и если вы были бы заинтересованы в том, чтобы хоть как-то мне помочь, это значило бы для меня очень и очень много, потому что сейчас я действительно в отчаянии.
