FOR MAMA SUSAN’S RECOVERY

January 29, 2023 at around 7:30am, I called up mama Susan G. Cirujales to ask for what she would like to eat for lunch, she answered "Anak, I don't feel well, I have severe headache and numbness on the right side of my body, go home please".She was crying while I talked to her. I immediately went home from attending the first Sunday mass in the morning. When I arrived home, I rushed her to the nearest Government Hospital, Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial Hospital located at Becco Road, Burgos Montalban Rizal.

I have spoken to the attending physician of my mother and told me that she has to undergo MRI CT SCAN, unfortunately there is no available MRI CT SCAN on that day. So the attending physician has given me two(2) options,1st option: The patient will be admitted to the hospital but the MRI CT SCAN will be the following day. 2nd option: Bring the patient to the other hospital. I said to the attending physician, I chose the 2nd option which is to bring my mother to the other Hospital which is East Avenue Medical Center located at East Avenue Diliman Quezon City.

When we arrived at the Emergency Room Triage, the Doctor on Duty immediately checked her vital signs, her Blood Pressure is 180/120. The doctor immediately requested the nurse to transfer the patient to the hospital bed for further examination. The nurse on duty started to inject IV Fluids (dextrose). The doctor informed me that my mother should immediately undergo MRI CT SCAN to know the damage in her brain. My mother is admitted in a ward w/ 5 patients.

The following day, the assigned neurologist explained to me the results of MRI CT SCAN for my mama, the diagnosis was she has Cerebral Infarction (CVD INFARCT) due to Thrombosis of Cerebral Arteries, or two large arteries were blocked. As a result, my mother has been paralyzed on the right portion of her body, her speech was also affected. She was admitted for 14 days at the hospital. Now she is currently at our house at Rodriguez Rizal for recuperating and preparing for her therapy (rehabilitation).

After almost 5 months from the time she was diagnose of CVD INFARCT, she was bleeding, it came out thru her stool, we immediately rushed her to East Avenue Medical Center. She was assess and check by the doctor on duty at the emergency room. Necessary laboratory test were done to mama. She was admitted at the charity ward with more than 200 patients for 8 days, but on the first week of her admission, she had seizure to the point that her life is 50/50. Then another seizure attack happened after 3 days. Also her Blood Sugar went up to 220 for 4 straight days, she was immediately given insulin so that it will come back to normal rate. During those days I was really worried that I keep asking to myself, how many times will this happen?? how can Iable to pay the hospital bills, to the point I feel so depressed and down. As days goes by, after series of laboratory and diagnostic test, the following are the final diagnosis to my Mama

1. UGIB or Upper GastroIntestinal Bleeding probably secondary to BPUD BFS 13 (PEPTIC ULCER DISEASE)

2. Hiatal Hernia

3. GASTRIC ULCER FIII

4. CVD INFARCT with right sided residuals MRS 4

5. Thyroid Mass probably malignant

6. Hypertension Stage II, controlled

I am humbly asking for your Financial Assistance for my mama's recuperation

Your Financial Assistance will be used for the following estimated expenses

1. Medicines- P 2,900.00 per month

2. Adult Diapers (large size) and other toiletries-P 3,500.00 per month

3. Food and Drinks (her meal plan is for Diabetic patient)- P 7,000.00 per month

4. Physical Therapy (for rehabilitation)- P 1,500.00 per session (required estimated # of sessions is 6 months to 1year @ 3 times per week)

5. Transportation (for monthly checkup)- P 1,500.00

My Salary is not enough to cover all of this expenses because I am the only one working in the family,
