Let’s All Help Marina and her Animals!

Hello everyone!

As my lovely boyfriend and I got engaged, we decided to raise funds for ARK (Animal Rescue Kefalonia). The shelter is based in Kefalonia, an island in Greece and they rescue and rehome dogs and cats.

I volunteered there a couple of years ago and I can truly say that Marina, the founder, is working tirelessly every day to provide for neglacted, abandoned and sick animals. She is one of the most inspiring and dedicated women I have ever met and we want to take this opportunity to raise money for her animals that she loves so much.

Having a shelter in Greece is not an easy task; the government is not that helpful and finding neglacted animals is a daily occurance. Marina and her volunteers try their best, but there are times that they do not have enough food to feed the 300 and something dogs and cats that they have. Medical bills are super expensive and the infrastucture of the place is very poor, since every time it rains all the enclosures are flooded.

So, instead of an engagement shower, we prefered to launch this fundraiser and help Marina and her animals for a better and less troublesome future :)
