Campaign Story
A little less than a month ago, my Lola Maring (Daddy Joey’s Nanay) who resides in Alaminos, Pangasinan, complained of progressive difficulty of breathing. Daddy then brought lola to the hospital for a check-up. The doctors found a mass in lola’s throat and needed an emergency surgery (tracheostomy and excision biopsy of the mass) to open up her airway to assist her breathing. A nasogastric tube (NGT) was inserted in her nose to help her eat. Although the operation was successful, her blood pressure was fluctuating thus the need for her to be brought to the ICU. She was in the ICU for a few days before returning to a regular room.
Test results came out and the mass found was confirmed to be Stage 4B Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (Throat Cancer). During the admission, she acquired Pneumonia which prolonged her hospital stay for another week to complete IV Antibiotics. In place of the NGT, a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube was inserted to help with feeding because the mass is blocking her throat.
Today, lola is home with us in the city to recover and regain her strength for the pending treatments. She will be undergoing 6 cycles of Chemotherapy, and 36 sessions of Radiotherapy for 5 days a week.
Any financial assistance that you can provide us in this fundraising campaign will be greatly appreciated. The funds raised will be for the hospital bills and treatments.

She has also completed 5 out of the 6 chemotherapy treatment cycles. And per last check-up with her ENT, ⅔ of the mass in her neck has already
