Help Jona, A Lupus Warrior

Good day. I am Jonalyn Lastimado, 21 years old from Philippines.

I am knocking on your humble hearts to help me in my medical needs and financial support for my education. I was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), an autoimmune disease, last 2010 and was only 10 years old that time.

When I was 10, I had seizures and mild stroke. When I was 11. I also have Raynauds syndrome and Vasculitis. When I was 13, because the complications of my illness, I lost some of my fingers.

Lupus gave me hard times. I couldn't walk for months and even sit if im on flare because of joint pains and vasculitis. This illness had dramatic changes in my life. I had to stop going to school several times. Despite of everything that has happen, I am always thankful and stay positive.

I am currently a first year college. I was supposed to be a graduate now if I didn't stop. But I am determined to finish my studies to get a job and help my family. I want to pay back my parents for all the things they have done to me.

I am asking for you financial supports in my maintenance and education. Right now, my monthly medicines costs 25000 pesos a month or almost $480 and my father's salary is only 28000 pesos or almost $500 a month. Some might think it is big enough, but actually it isn't. We have a lot of debts and I also need money for my education. I have a scholarship but it is also not enough to pay my whole year tuition and I don't want to stop my schooling again. It's hard for me to find a job this time because I'm in flare that's why I can't help my parents financially. There are times when we don't really have money to buy foods because it was used to buy my medicines. I am blaming myself for all the debts and hardships our family encountered because if I didn't have this illness, these may not have happened to us. I want to help my parents and don't want to be burden to them. Please help me. Thank you for your kindness.
