Help Joey with his cancer monitoring (CT Scan) and medical expenses

This fundraiser is set up to offset the cost of Joey Dela Paz’s medical expenses and cancer monitoring. Joey and his wife, Narlin, have been serving as missionaries in Thailand for 17 years. They minister with a local church and in schools, and care for orphans and abandoned children.

In January 2019, Joey was diagnosed with Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) when a tumor the size of a tennis ball was found in his right kidney. He immediately underwent multiple surgeries to remove the tumor, the affected kidney, and part of his liver. Seven months later, he underwent surgery again to remove a segment of his right lung because of metastasis. He thanks the Lord that the surgeries successfully removed the cancer.

Treatment does not end there, however. He must undergo a PET/CT scan once a year to monitor recurrence of a tumor and any metastasis. The test held earlier this month had favorable results! However, it cost PHP 70,000.00 and drained funds for everyday expenses and school fees of the children in their care.
