Campaign Story
Jitihada Pre and Primary school was established in 2008 in Arusha, Tanzania. The school started with only 7 students, 2 teachers and one classroom. It has now more than 200 pupils and 13 buildings - 10 classrooms, 1 toilet building, 1 temporary kitchen and dining area, all thanks to donations coming from all around the world.
The aim of the school is to help children in slums as well as orphans to acquire a good education.
The school is fully supported by volunteers and well-wishers.
Us volunteers are currently trying to raise money to finish the kitchen and dining area. The students are served porridge and lunch every day at school. The next steps are to add flooring, windows, and doors. Then we will add tables and chairs for the students to sit at while eating.
