Help Jear Fight Cancer

Hello everyone!

This is Alyssa, and I'm writing for my bestfriend Jear who is currently fighting NASOPHARYNGEAL CANCER STAGE 3B.

On Aug 9, 2023: Jear was admitted in VMMC due to his recurring ear infection and swollen lymph nodes. Before admission, he had several check up and follow ups with his ENT to address the issues he has with his left ear. Due to his persistent clogged ear, his ENT eventually decided to do Endoscopy, then a lump that is causing the clogged ear was found, so the ENT requested to do the biopsy ASAP.

On Sept 5, 2023: After few weeks of anxiously waiting for the result of Jear's biopsy, it turned out that he has a tumor located in the nasopharynx and Jear was diagnosed with NASOPHARYNGEAL CANCER STAGE 3B.

Currently, he has been experiencing night sweats, palpitations, severe fatigue, skin sensitivity and hair loss. His weight also dropped to 178lbs. He continues to work via online but right now, his mental health is being challenged by all these symptoms and medical bills. And he might soon file for a leave due to being incapacitated to work.

According to his Oncologist, he will be needing to undergo 6 sessions of chemotherapy and 33 sessions of radiation therapy which started last October 3, 2023.

And as of October 2023, we are expecting to spend PHP500,000 on his medical bills and therapies throughout his treatment plans.

Jear is fighting and really wants to live but we are faced with a big challenge on how to continue paying for his medical bills. In this simple way, I want to help Jear and knock on your kind hearts in helping Jear fight his cancer!
