My name is Jacopo Coccoli and I am a young Italian graduate from the law school who is seeking for the opportunity to pursue an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree in a prestigious American university. My first desire would indeed be to practice at an international level, not only working as an attorney at law with a specialization in this extremely inspiring field but also sharing my legal knowledge with international organizations and making a contribution to the promotion of and respect for human rights across the globe.
I graduated from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome (Italy) on June 2016 and I have applied to several top 15 universities in the U.S. to pursue a post-graduate degree for the 2017-2018 academic year. At the present date, I have already been accepted at Cornell Law School and Georgetown Law Center and I am still waiting for decisions being released by NYU and Columbia Law School. I have also been awarded with a scholarship which is generous, but yet insufficient to finance the high tuition costs of such prestigious university.
As you may know, the chance to study further in my field at an American university is an incredible opportunity for me and I intend to pursue it wholeheartedly. I am so excited to begin such an amazing experience which I believe is a once-in-a-life opportunity. Nonetheless, given the expensive costs of attendance of U.S. universities, this chance also comes with an economic burden which may be too difficult for my family to take on.
If you are willing to contribute to this dream of mine, I will be truly grateful for your altruism. All the donations will be entirely devoted to support my finances in paying for tuition costs, housing, board or health insurance.
I will be happy to keep you posted as I receive decisions by the remaining universities I applied to. Please, have faith in me and help my dream become true.
