Help Isidro get operated!

• Three months ago my boyfriends dad, Isidro Torres,had a dangerous accident working onhis field outside the community of Santa Rosa de Tipishca, a small village located along the river Ucayali in the Peruvian Amazon. Suddenly a big branch fell on him and left him with a big cut on his head and broken collarbone. As you can see on the photo it is thoroughly broken in two places. Putting it up in a sling and taking pain medication he hoped that it would heal-back together normally.

One week ago it started hurting again and the collarbone and space around it swelled up. As it started hurting terriblyand it did not pass Isidro had to go to the hospital again.

The bone has not grown back together as it should and to ever be able to use the arm normally again he needs an operation.

Isidro Torres as father and grandfather is an imported supporter of and provider for five children and many grandchildren. He works as a farmer growing largelywatermelon and corn. This means a lot of physical work which he needs to be able to use his right arm for!

An operation would cost about five thousand soles this is about 15000 crones.Additionally come the costs of painkillers and a journey to Lima (where the operation will be safer and it is easier to get a good surgeon).

If Isidro Torres no longer will be able to work, a big family will loose an important source of money and it will become hard for the whole family to pay for electricity, school materials, school fees and at times even food.

At the hospital he was told that he had a chance to get operated in Lima the 20th of July.

Help Isidro to get operated and at the same time school fees to be payed! Every little crone counts!
