Help Intellectual Disabled People GET A JOB!

WHO WE ARE:

A private non-profit organizations, focus on helping Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) become productive citizens; being employed, improving their quality of life through self-support.

Objective:

Assist 500,000 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) who can work (approximately 1/3 of the total disabled population in Thailand) in finding employment by 2045.

OUR CURRENT PROJECT:

We help the intellectual disabled people earn their first income through self-support. We design, provide materials, and train them to fold a face towel into an animal shape and help them sell their products in the market.

We have learned that the intellectual disabled people have the least opportunity to get an employment or to earn their living. People usually think that this type of disabled people cannot work; they only wait to be fed. But in fact, they are able to work if they are given the right type of work to do.

Project Objectives:

• To reveal the abilities of the intellectual disabled people
• To reconnect them to the society
• To help them realize their self-worth
• To relieve family’s expenses & social responsibilities

Our Progress so far...

Since January 2019 to present, we have helped almost 100 intellectual disabled people earn some money. Some of them have earned their very first income. And we aim to extend the help to a larger group.

This project not only enables them to make a living through self-support, relieving personal and family expenses, but it also enhances and develops the muscles and movements of their arms, hands, and fingers, creates concentration, stabilizes emotion, develops their mind, intellect, and memory, and helps them see the value of work and the importance of helping their friends.

We want to create a business model for organizations / companies to see the ability of intellectual disabled people, hoping that many employers would see the possibility to employ these group of people.
