My father started working as an OFW since 2008 to support his family, for us, his children, to finish our studies. Everything went well; I finished my studies and got a job now. My youngest brother is graduating now in college. We were happy, we were okay until my father was diagnosed early this year with Prostate Cancer Stage 4.

He went back here in the Philippines with nothing on his pocket since he stopped working in the US because of his condition. He has been hospitalized in AZ, USA and had Renal Failure which led for him to undergo emergency dialysis. We were clueless as to his condition because he kept it to himself until the day he was brought to the hospital when his co-workers called us. After some time he managed to still work despite his condition, wearing diaper to work since he would often urinate involuntarily.

He decided to come home to us last May 16, 2019. On his way home he encountered a problem with the LA airport. The ticket that was booked by his employer was a connecting flight with two stopovers to Japan which the airport didn't allow. He paid additional $700 just to be with us because the airplane booked would depart in a few minutes. On our way to the airport, the feeling was so different from the previous years he came home to us. We had heavy hearts, we were nervous and sad. His plane landed at exactly 00:40 am Philippine time.

We saw him at 01:15am, assisted by airport crew since he was on a wheel chair. Friday, May 17, 2019, we brought him to the National Kidney Transplant Institute for a check up with an oncologist. Upon seeing his medical records, the oncologist advised us to do a series of blood test, ultrasound (chest, abdomen), CT scan (chest) and bone scan which were done last Saturday, May 18, 2019. The results were released on the day. The Oncologist read the results and everything went down. His cancer cells were very aggressive. His whole spine and ribs were covered with cancer cells. He also has pleural metastasis. The oncologist advised us to have him confined ASAP and undergo chemotherapy.

The cost per session of the chemotherapy is around PHP 80,000.00 and is scheduled to be done every Tuesday.

We are asking for your help to support my father's treatments. Please help us.
