Help Fund Students Education

Greetings there!

In light of this devastating pandemic, we, the citizens of the planet Earth have availed ourselves to run our lives virtually. One of the many few impacted in this desperate need of the time is students. We students are required to resort to online classes and courses to further our education, as physical education is not an option right now.

Bearing that in mind, not all of us are fortunate enough to be equipped with essential needs to ensure that we are connected, whilst being safe at home, away from large crowds of people. According to the crucial information gathered, some students do not have Internet Access at home. A fraction of students do not even own a laptop to do their assignments and tasks on. What ached my fragile heart, even more, is, to learn that there are students who only own one smartphone per household, meaning they have to share with several of their other siblings who also need to partake in online learning.

Hence, I, Arim Akmal, a 19-year-old accounting student has decided to initiate this fundraising campaign, to help students in need who is stricken with the burden of financial crisis whilst being in a terrible pandemic. With the money raised, struggling students, such as myself, can pay for our tuition or semester fees, fully settle our textbook debts, buy a laptop and learning resources, et cetera. If there is (hopefully) to be a surpass of the number of campaign donations raised, the money will still be contributed and used by students in need. Money donated by donors will help students strive better in their academics as part of their financial burdens are lifted.

Furthermore, the pandemic has resulted in an awful first-hand experience of students getting laid off from their part-time jobs. From listening to personal stories, losing whatever small sum of salary used directly to pay for high-priced textbooks and living expenses takes a toll both mentally and physically on students. My heart crumbled to millions of pieces, upon hearing a fragment of students has even decided to deliver food, as not only did they need to work for their education, but they also had to carry the burden of supporting their family.

On that account, I kindly urge you to donate as much as you possibly can afford, as there are NO little things, everything MATTERS! If you cannot donate, please share this campaign with others, so anyone willing to contribute can help out too. Like my favourite sayings go; “When we help others, others will help us when we are in need”.
