Campaign Story
My 3 year old niece, Angela Kristel Marcial Cajucom, is a bright kid who loves eating Adobo and is a big Marvel Avengers fan (#TeamCap and Black Widow). Last June 2019 she was rushed to the hospital due to Urinary Tract Infection and swelling in the eye. She was confined for 4 days and was treated with Antibiotics for her UTI. Her eye doctor ran some tests and diagnosed her for having secondary angle Glaucoma probably secondary to Retinoblastoma.
Retinoblastoma is a rare form of cancer that rapidly develops from the immature cells of a retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye. It is the most common primary malignant intraocular cancer in children, and it is almost exclusively found in young children.
Though most children survive this cancer, they may lose their vision in the affected eye(s) or need to have the eye removed.
We went on to get a second opinion from a specialist and by July 2019 she was diagnosed of Retinoblastoma presenting as leukocoria (abnormal white reflection from the retina of the eye). After running some laboratory tests and check-ups with her Ophthalmologist, her specialist suggested that her left eye (already blind) be enucleated to prevent further spread of the cancer cells and save her life.
By August, the surgery was done at Philippine General Hospital through the efforts our families and friends who collected the needed amount for her surgery. The enucleation (left eye removed) was a success and results of her MRI test shows that the cancer cells did not reach her brain but some traces are found on her optic nerve. Now she will have to undergo 4 sessions of Chemotherapy treatment to kill the remaining cancer cells and prevent them from growing.
We would like to ask everyone to help us raise funds for Angela Kristel’s treatment that we are sure will take months. The amount to be raise will be use to fund her treatment and the cost of her laboratory exams, hospitalization and medicine.
Our funds are already running low due to her previous hospitalizations and laboratory exams (Blood tests, MRI, B-scan,Bone Marrow Aspiration) that is why we are humbly asking for everyone to help us continue her road to healing and recovery.
We are thanking everyone in advance for the monetary help that will be given. Please do pray for her fast recovery so that she can lead a normal life when she grows up. May the Heavens bless you all and your families for a lifetime.

**UPDATE 2/24/2020
It's been almost 2 months since Angela Kristel completed the last of her 4 Chemotheraphy session. We would like to thank everyone who supported her healing journey, everyone who donated the amount needed for her hospitalizations and also to those who offered prayers.
Her supposed start of Radiation Therapy was postponed last month because of her bouts with Bronchitis. After numerous check-ups with her Pulmonologist and Pediatrician, anti-biotics and stuffs, she was able to recover and finally start her theraphy a week ago.
Her Radiation Therapy will be for 30 days, 5 times a week (except weekends and Holidays). We are advised to raise around Php 100k to Php 150k to complete the 30 day session. The money her family kept and saved for her Radiation Therapy was already exhausted for use in her medicines and check-ups.
We humbly seek some financial assistance once again as our family have already exhausted all our resources for her medical needs for the past months and currently unable to meet up our little Angel's current and future expenses.
For those who are interested to send/donate, please see the page where the bank accounts are listed. Paypal donations are highly encourage too.
Our Angela Kristel is looking forward to get well and once again be free to play under the Sun, enjoy her young life to the fullest. Your help will be deeply appreciated.
