We present you today Father Cleopas Bachuba, a missionary orthodox priest in Morogoro region, Tanzania, under the Holy Archdiocese of Irinopolis (Dar es Salaam), Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa.
He was born in Bukoba region, Tanzania and was one of the first local orthodox priests to be ordained. He served for the last 23 years as a missionary priest in Tanga, Iringa, Morogoro (where he currentky lives with his family). His missionary duties require him to travel every day with local transportation or motobikes throughout the region as he is taking care of the communities of Melela, Mwaka, Sokione, Mvumi, Mikese and Kayenzi.
With the years passing, some health issues appeared and traveling became more and more difficult and an offroad car to travel on local roads between different communites he cares for will help him to pursue his mission. But cars are expensive in Tanzania and are totally out of the reach for a priest living from donations and from the contribution he receives from his Archdiocese.
Let's unite and help Fr. Cleopas in his blessed mission!
