Campaign Story
As part of SAVElife’s sponsorship of the International Half Marathon in Uganda, Team SAVElife runners are raising money for the Hospital for Children.
Funds raised will support two of the hospital’s programmes — the surgical and cardiac programme and the malnutrition programme — to help children in Uganda live longer, healthier lives.
The funds will ensure more children born with congenital heart defects will get the life-saving surgery they need. The funds will also support the month-long re-feeding program for patients with severe malnutrition while providing cooking and nutrition classes to caregivers to prevent relapse.
