Help for Papa Fel

Hey everyone! This is my grandfather, Simplicio (Papa Fel) Gumafelix, who is currently in the hospital right now due to many complications in his body. Last year, 2022, he was still as jolly as he ever was, bringing joy to the household. Unfortunately, when his kidneys failed in March 2022, his health also started to deteriorate. He gets dialysis three times a week ever since his kidneys failed. Then he started getting pneumonia, having water build up in his lungs. It took him months to recover from that.

A few months ago, he had heart failure and had a hard time breathing. He's having a hard time walking and standing up from his bed with an oxygen tank next to him.

However, recently, he was rushed to the ICU because he wasn't able to excrete for 2 weeks. The nurses and the doctors had to do a colonoscopy on him to see if there were any underlying conditions. Although they didn't find any tumors, due to his lack of liquid and fiber intake, his colon was obstructed. It's already hard for his body to digest food properly so the doctor and the team gave him Novasource and Nephrisol-D as a source of nutrients.

Right now, they're planning to do a Colostomy on him and he agreed to do so. However, due to the complications in his body, it's a huge risk for him.

It is hard for us, his grandchildren and our parents, to see him struggle knowing that he was always the joker and extrovert in the house. It's also hard for us to see our Lola, Josefina (Mama Jo) Gumafelix, struggle as she takes care of our Lolo. We still want to see how happy and jolly he was before and with the doctors and your help, we can witness it again.

The funds raised here will be sent directly to my Lola or brother's account and will be used for the hospital and surgery bills, such as his dialysis, colonoscopy, room for his ICU, doctor's fee, etc.
