My Lolo, Mr. Fernando Cruz, collapsed on June 12 and was admitted to the MMC Neuro ICU for almost a month. He has suffered so much while in the ICU.

He had a blood clot on his brain due to the fall, had seizures and a heart attack on the second day, fluid in his lungs with a bout of pneumonia, endured five dialysis already, and survived a Tracheostomy procedure so he could breath on his own.

Before all of these happened, my Lolo Dondoy was a very simple, strong, kindhearted old soul and a good, law abiding citizen.

He served in his community and church (as a member of the Knights of Columbus) and even with his limited resources, he was involved in a lot of voluntary and charitable projects.

In the meantime, the hospital bills had already reached a staggering amount of 2 million as of July 18th, even with the Senior discount and Philhealth benefits.

Up until now, he still has difficulty breathing on his own. Sadly, we were also already informed by his doctors that if our Lolo Dondoy survives this, he will not be the same as before and he will be needing palliative care. On top of the expenses we have incurred from the hospital, we will be needing a oxygen tank, suction machine and nebulizer even after he is discharged from the hospital.

For this reason, we are humbly soliciting your most generous help in the form of any amount that you can spare to alleviate this financial stress on our family.
