Help fix my mom’s house/Ayuda para arreglar la casa de mi madre

Hello! I know this is not the typical fundraiser but I wanted to give it a try and hopefully you can help my family. The story goes like this, We did a renovation at home, we wanted a change, something pretty, we are not rich, so my family and I saved money for months and we ended up spending a lot on the "renovation", we were excited because the houses we have lived in are not exactly pretty or new. we decided to change the floors with this beautiful tiles, it was much needed because previously we fixed the sanitation and the floor ended up in a very bad condition. We hired a construction worker but he did a terrible job at placing the tiles. Our mistake was not to formalize with a contract, we trusted he knew what he was doing and since it was a small job and he was recommended by a friend, we never though it was necessary, big mistake. I didn’t notice it was such a terrible job at first, but every day we find a new mistake, uneven and chipped tiles, etc. We are very disappointed at the result, sad and angry because we worked hard to upgrade a little bit our home, we just can’t stop thinking about it, honestly every single day I wake up and think about how terrible it is. We trusted this guy because he said he could do the job, he failed us, and we feel cheated. I'm sorry if to you this feels a little materialistic or shallow, but we feel disrespected at the months of hard work to save the money to accomplish something that might seem so little. Aside from that we have other renovation problems that need immediate fixing, broken toilet, no water heater, some changes in the electric installations.
