Help Dawid to get to Freediving World Championship in Honduras

My name is Dawid Tran Van, and I am reaching out to you today with great excitement and a humble request for support. I come from Poland, but have been residing on the beautiful island of Gozo, Malta, for the past three years. Recently, I achieved a remarkable feat by setting a national record for Poland in freediving, reaching depth of 88 meters on a breath-hold dive using fins. Now, I have the incredible opportunity to represent my country at the CMAS World Championship in Roatan, Honduras, scheduled for August 19th to 27th.

This journey into the world of freediving began not long ago but has had a profound impact on my life. Starting with snorkeling in the summer of 2021, I quickly progressed to diving on the lines at Innerdive in Gozo. Since then, I have reached depths exceeding 100 meters and can hold my breath for over six minutes. The sense of freedom and tranquility that freediving provides is indescribable, and it has become my passion and main sport.

My dedication and hard work paid off when I participated in my first freediving competition in Croatia, where I not only achieved a national record, but also qualified for the CMAS World Championship. This is a dream come true for me, and I am eager to represent Poland on the international stage. I plan to document every step of this incredible journey on Instagram and YouTube, sharing my experiences, techniques, and the thrill of competing at the highest level.

However, participating in the CMAS World Championship requires a significant financial commitment. While the Polish Freediving Association, PZF, will be supporting a portion of the expenses, I am still in need of additional assistance.

Here is a breakdown of the estimated costs:

1. Flights to Roatan: Approximately €2000
2. 16 Training sessions on competition setup: 16 sessions x €40 = €640~
3. Accommodation (1st to 30th August): Approximately €700
4. Daily expenses (food, transportation, etc.): 30 days x €20 = €600
5. Starting fee: €680 (covered by PZF)

Total estimated costs: €3250 I humbly request your support to make my dream a reality. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping me cover these expenses. Your generous support will not only allow me to participate in the CMAS World Championship, but will also aid in my growth as a freediving athlete. If, by any chance, I surpass my funding goal, I will utilize the additional funds for extra training or other upcoming competitions.
