Campaign Story
Mommy Connie Almaria is at St Luke's Quezon City right now battling cancer. She was diagnosed last August as a case of uterine cancer, supposedly with good prognosis (Endometroid type) and underwent completion surgery/radiation. However, two weeks ago, she had abdominal pain and abdominal enlargement (ascites) - unexpected recurrence - peritoneal carcinomatosis. She underwent a major operation (cytoreductive surgery) which lasted for 11 hours. She had numerous blood transfusion (14 u in total) and she stayed in the ICU for 3 nights - dialysis, albumin infusion, total parenteral nutrition. She is being closely monitored. She will need to undergo chemotherapy the soonest possible time because her cancer is very aggressive. After the chemo, she will then undergo radiation. Please offer your prayers to Mommy Connie and we hope you can help us raise funds for her present confinement, chemotherapy and radiation. Let's help Mommy Connie crush cancer!
Thank you!
