Help children with autism

We are Atipic, a non-governmental association which helps underprivileged children who are affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Our 4 psychotherapists provide uniquely tailored therapy programmes for children with ASD from Bucharest, Romania. Children with ASD are vulnerable and more likely to be ostracised by their peers and other members of society. Our programme aims to help teach them strategies which facilitate their integration in social groups and improve their standard of living, through role playing, art therapy and other activities.

This is the first initiative to provide free therapy for children affected by ASD, in Romania. We aim to provide all services for free, to children who are in need of therapy and cannot afford it, however we do not yet have enough funding for this to become a reality.

The costs of having a child receive extensive therapy are 550 Euros or 650 US Dollars, which include 4 hours of daily therapy for 4 weeks. Our aim is to be able to help as many children as we can, starting with at least 2 children. Therefore, we are setting the target at 5.000 Euros or 6.000 dollars, which would greatly improve the lives of 2 children for 5 months and give them a chance to be part of our society.

All extra donations will go toward adding more children to the program, with the focus on maintaining the therapy for the children for as long as they need it.
