On November 11, Typhoon Ulysses (International Name: Vamco) has hit the Philippines. Because of its effect on the rise of water levels, Magat Dam has opened up to seven of its gates to control the critical rising of water level in its shed.
One of the provinces affected by Magat Dam's water release and of the tail-end of the cold front of Typhoon Ulysses is Cagayan. It has been severely affected with flooding on almost all of its parts. People lost their properties, livelihood, and even loved ones, due to the heavy rains and flooding that was beyond anyone's control. The people of Cagayan are accepting any help they can get.
With this, the Cagayan Volunteers' Initiative, a youth organization based in Cagayan, is collecting donations to be sent to those affected.
