Hi everyone! My name is Bryan and I am a high school graduate who was just accepted to Seton Hall University to study Diplomacy and International Relations. As an international student, I will be charged around USD55k per year for tuition, room & board and miscellaneous fees. The scholarship provided by the University amounts to USD24k per year, meaning that my parents and I still have to cover around USD31k for the first year. By living off campus for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year, the cost would come down to around USD20k for each year. For all 4 years of university, the total cost would be around USD91k. After pooling together my family's resources, we still need another USD30k.
I really hope that this amount can be raised so that not only can I achieve my dream of studying in the US but also to allow me the chance to gain the necessary skills and opportunities to help me help underserved communities. I hope that I would be able to work either with the UNDP, NGOs focused on developing communities or have my own NGO that sepcifically focuses on the grey areas of underserved communities such as Internally Displaced People. Recently, I volunteered for 7 months with an NGO focused on community development called SOLS24/7 that has only further strengthened my interest to contribute in that area.
