Help Brittany get to Ecuador!

Hello! I'm trying to get to Ecuador for a volunteer conservation project with Global Volunteer Network for the tropical rainforest in the Amazon! The Amazon Biological Reserve in in the Province of Napo in Ecuador, and was created in 1986 out of the need to have a conservation, investigation and education centre to host scientists and students interested in the tropical rainforests.  The size of the reserve is 2,500 hectares, and was reached due to donations from individuals and organizations concerned with the rapid loss of the tropical rainforests in the Amazon. This reserve protects rainforests located in the Tropical Wet Forests, a thin band connecting the Andes Mountain Range and the Amazon River Basin. 

So what will I be doing? At the Amazon reserve my volunteer activities will entail compost maintenance, maintenance of botanical gardens, seed collection, soil preparation and tree nursery maintenance, vegetable garden maintenance; trails maintenance and new trails construction; workshops of handicrafts with the Quichua community; reforestation projects either at the station, in communities or independent farms... and much, much more! I might even have a chance to teach English in the mornings at nearby schools, helping out local communities around the area. 

This would be a great oppotunity for me, especially since I've always had such a great interest in biology and the vast amounts of diverse species that can be found in the rainforests. I volunteered in Nicaragua for a few different projects including the construction of an eco-friendly vocational school, and I would love a chance to help with the conservation and restoration of the tropical rainforests in the Amazon!
