HELP BRITT GET TO TANZANIA!

Dear Friends, Family, and Companies,

I am raising money for a volunteer trip to Africa, where I will be working in a hospital laboratory diagnosing HIV and Malaria. I am new graduate that is lacking experience needed for me to secure a job, which is why I decided to take a 2- month trip to Tanzania. My time in Tanzania will let me gain laboratory skills and be able to help and support a developing country. I am looking forward to strengthen my analytical and problem-solving abilities as the environment, equipment, and supplies will not be what I am used to. Volunteering will hopefully give me the extra sparkle on my CV that is needed to secure a job.

I will be working at Tengeru Hospital where I will be diagnosing patients using different chemical and microbiological analysis. I will be collecting samples and performing experiments on bodily fluids, including blood, urine and spinal fluid to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.

As you can imagine, the cost of such a volunteer trip is quite high for someone who just finished school. I believe the overall experience gained is much more valuable than the actual cost of the trip. I do have some savings already, but any amount of donation will be very beneficial. Your donation will go towards program fees, visa, room and board, and airfare.
