Campaign Story
My sister Analee Laurente Villasana was diagnosed with Glomerulonephritis in March 2009. It was one of the most difficult situations we had to face during that time as we were trying to make ends meet for our school, daily expenses and her medications. She underwent several tests and dialysis treatment for 3 years after the prognosis. My brother Denver was a match and he volunteered to donate. We decided to proceed with the work up and they eventually passed all the screenings. In February 2014, she was given the clearance and a second chance to live when they triumphantly surpassed the Kidney transplant. We have dealt with so much difficulty during that time but with the help of our good Lord, we were able to avail of the Z package and categorized in the Charity service as 80% indigent. We were blessed to have Social Workers that managed to aid us get the transplant procedure 100% free of charge through the help of Philhealth and some charity assistance. After that, she was able to live an almost normal life together with her husband, Dave Villasana, and daughter Bella. She was able to work and sustain her daily life by taking anti-rejection medicines.
In July 2018, an unexpected news came out and we were surprised to know that she is having a second baby. She didnβt know she was pregnant until the baby is already 5 month old in her womb. She was totally fine and all her tests were good including that of her baby. It was indeed a miracle. Until November 2018, 2 weeks after she had her C-Section delivery, we notice a change in her mood, body and behavior. She was always uncomfortable and unable to sleep. Little did we know, her creatinine level had started to shoot up and so we immediately brought her to the National Kidney Transplant Institute. We were told that she is having rejections until it was totally ruled out in January 2019.
Currently, she is undergoing hemodialysis while we wait and raise funds for a second transplant. Her husband Dave will be her possible donor however, they are still undergoing cross matching and work up at this point.
We are knocking at your generous hearts to help us raise the necessary funds to sustain her oral medication, Dialysis and her upcoming transplant. Thank you very much and may the good Lord bless you ten folds!
