7.2 EARTHQUAKE, ISIS SEIGE AND NOW SUPERTYPHOON RAI.
Only 8 years after Bohol was struck by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, forcing families to rebuild their communities. On 2017 Bohol clashes were armed conflicts that took place in April and May 2017 between Philippine security forces and Moro ISIL-affiliated militants led by members of the Abu Sayyaf in Inabanga, Bohol, Philippines. The resilient people of Bohol were faced with another tragedy on December 16, 2021, when Super Typhoon Rai swept through Bohol and the south-eastern islands with rain and winds of approximately 190-270 km/h.
It has been reported that approximately 515 people are injured and 108 dead. Homes have been completely destroyed, many people are left with no electricity, water, food or means of communication with their families.
At this time, we are asking for financial help so we can help provide necessities and to help rebuild Bohol where our beloved family and friends reside.
They badly need CLEAN WATER, FOOD AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS.
Thank you for giving the gift of help and hope to our family, friends, and neighbours during this difficult time.
