HELP SHUVERT “BOBBY” FIGHT AGAINST MYELOID LEUKEMIA

In 2007, our Papa Shuvert “Bobby” Crisostomo was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. He used to be an OFW in the UAE and along his journey for a living, his symptoms made him suffer a lot to had made him come back and stay in the Philippines for good. 13 years has passed, we witnessed how our Papa courageously fought for his life and refused to give up his battle with the same cancer. He is working nonstop, day and night, only to have a stable source of income and provide a decent living for his family. And as much as he could, he would always lend a helping hand to those in need.

Amidst the Covid19 pandemic, his health condition deteriorated and his immune system has weakened.

And while everyone was celebrating Father's day last 21st of June, his body already succumbed to all the pain. At that time, it was hard for us to find a hospital that will easily admit my immunocompromised father. Almost all of the charity hospitals in Manila are fully booked and loaded with COVID19 patients in which we find unsafe for Papa. He was first brought to Tondo Medical Center, had his swab test and thankfully resulted negative. The doctor recommended to try bringing my father to Chinese General Hospital instead, as he thinks that my father will there be taken with better care and proper monitoring.

With high hopes and faith, my brothers decided to bring him to Chinese General Hospital and was fortunately admitted.

That same day, serious complications have been discovered by the doctors such as spleen enlargement, pneumonia, blood infections, blast crisis and small blockage in the heart. He is also suffering from high fever, shortness of breathing and body pain. It is too much for him to endure.

With all the laboratory test ongoing and medical bills to consider, we are seeking and knocking on your doors for financial help.

We are also doing our best to find all resources to meet the increasing expenses. But most importantly, we would like to guarantee our father's continuous medical assistance and the opportunity to recover from his chemo and bone marrow transplant.
