HELP BELLA CALUB REVILLA FIGHT BREAST CANCER

Hello friends!

Our family needs your help. We are raising money to fund my mother’s breast cancer treatment.

Early September 2019, my mom felt a lump on her right breast. She consulted with a doctor and got a mammogram, breast x-ray, and first biopsy. The test results show that the lump is malicious but inconclusive (did not confirm cancer yet). To ease our worries, the family decided to get the lump removed. The doctor advised us to do another biopsy to confirm the nature of the cyst. On October 19, 2019, my mom got her entire right breast removed because based on the histopathology report the cyst was found out to be malignant. My mom has been diagnosed with Stage 2A Breast Cancer. The operation and confirmatory process costed us around P150K (surgery, laboratory, confinement, post-operative care, etc.).

After learning that my mom had breast cancer, we immediately sought treatment options for her. My mom’s hormone receptor test results indicated that the type of cancer she has is ER/PR negative HER2 positive. Unfortunately, this is the type of cancer that is aggressive, fast-growing, and very expensive to treat. Common hormone therapy treatment will not be effective in her case. Her oncologist told us that she’ll be needing 6 cycles of chemotherapy (around P20K per cycle every 21 days) and 18 cycles of trastuzumab (Herceptin) – which is estimated to be P50K per vial T_T – to be taken every 21 days also. That is an estimated amount of P1M worth of treatment medicines to be procured in the next 15 months. She’ll be starting her chemotherapy this 7 December 2019.

My mom is already 69 years old. She’s diabetic and has high blood pressure. She also suffered a mild stroke last January 2019. Her only source of income is her monthly pension. While the whole family is set to provide support for her treatment, we do not have the financial capacity to shoulder this on our own. So we are knocking on everyone’s kind hearts for any kind of help (prayers, medicines, referrals, cash, etc).
