Campaign Story
Hello Everyone.
Ana Dela Cruz, my brother-in-laws' wife was rushed to the hospital last Saturday night (July 6th) for bleeding excessively and delivered a wonderful baby via emergency CS at 30 weeks. Her baby has been admitted in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as she was so weak for not being able to get nutrients from Ana due to a blockage in her placenta (Placental Abruption in medical term) which put both their lives at risk .
All the doctors involved advised that their situation is really a life threatening case if it was not immediately taken care of. Due to inability to sustain the medical and hospital expenses, we are knocking at your hearts for ANY AMOUNT of financial support as the NICU charges around PHP 50,000 per day and they can't still transfer to a cheaper hospital for the risk of catching bacteria/germs while travelling. They were told that the survival chance of the baby is at 50/50 and they want to give it their all in this fight. More than anything else, prayers and words of encouragement are also a big help for the troubled family.

July 22nd update: Hi everyone! It’s Baby Chloe’s Day 15 in NICU today. As of this morning, Baby Chloe’s weight went up to 961grams from last Saturday’s 876grams. Her feeding is now resumed at 4ML every 3hrs. By 11am today, it will be adjusted e to 5ML. Thank God there’s no more blood clot coming out whenever the nurses feed her with my breastmilk via OGT.😊🙏 Her x-ray and ECG results seems okay and improving compared last week. Maybe the minor surgery has helped her a lot to absorbed completely all her needed medications. 🙏🙏🙏 Re her heart, she is now at the last phase (Phase 3)of the stage 1 medication (paracetamol and salbutamol). The cardiologist will re-assess the hole in her heart after Phase 3 is complete (most probably this week). Please continue to pray for Baby Chloe’s full recovery. July 17th Update: Hi Everyone! The surgery was done and Chloe is doing fine as this evening. We just have to wait for 2weeks to observe if everything is going well after the surgery. Continuous support & prayers will truly be of great help in this kind of situation. A blood transfusion was also done as her blood count was low. Today she’s doing well and her skin color was back to normal. :pray: She also gained weight from 852grams to 879grams. Regarding her heart, she is still under medication (Phase 1) and we are waiting an update from her cardiologist. We will keep you posted and please continue to pray for her fast recovery. God bless!
